St Andrews SSP Leadership Academy was successfully launched at the Bowles Activity Centre this Spring. The Academy is made up of 40 students from the Partnership’s secondary schools and 6th forms ages 15 – 18, and is set to perform an important role in helping develop leadership across the Partnership.
The Academy members were selected by SSCos and PE departments from all Partnership secondary and post 16 schools and includes around 20 Year/10 and Year 11 pupils and a similar number of students from the Partnership's 6th Forms, including students from John Ruskin College and St Andrews/Archbishop Tenison joint 6th Form.
The Leadership Academy has set it's own constitution and a committee to lead the group. Many of the members already help support the growing number of sports partnership Primary School competitions and also sports events around the capital such as the London Marathon, and the London Youth Games.
