Year 5 & 6 Girls Cricket Tournament We enjoyed a fantastic day of cricket with our Year 5 and 6 girls, with all schools competing with great determination and teamwork. It was wonderful to see the players growing in confidence throughout the day, learning new skills, supporting one another and embracing the spirit of the game. The tournament came down to a nail-biting final round between Park Hill Junior School and Royal Russell School. With just TWO RUNS separating them, it couldn't have been closer!! Royal Russell: 70 Park Hill Juniors: 68 Both teams qualify for the Surrey county finals! Congratulations to all of the teams for their effort, resilience and sportsmanship. The girls should be proud of the way they represented their schools and the progress they made over the course of the tournament. A huge thank you to Addiscombe Cricket Club for hosting. We are also very grateful to Ella, Lucia and Josh from Old Wilsonian's CC for giving up their time to umpire the matches. A wonderful celebration of girls' cricket and a reminder that sport is all about participation, learning and enjoying the game. #GirlsCricket #GirlsInSport #thisgirlcan #surreycricket #teamcroydon
